Gasco (UK) Ltd is a central heating solutions provider based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Established in 1986, the company has been warming homes across Shropshire and the West Midlands for over 35 years.


The Problem

One of our longstanding clients, Gasco originally used our services on an ad hoc basis. Earlier this year, however, Gasco signed up to one of our Managed Service Agreement packages to assist with the installation of a new operating system plus the migration of emails and data to Microsoft 365.

The Solution

Previously, Gasco had an on-premises, end of life server running Exchange 2010, and mostly used PCs with Windows 7 – an outdated operating system that no longer received security updates and technical fixes from Microsoft. Faced with the shift towards remote working and greater vulnerability to a cyber-attack, Gasco needed new computer systems to improve efficiency and safeguard against security threats.

The Outcome

Over the course of one day, we replaced all Windows 7 devices with Windows 10. As a result, the team at Gasco are now benefitting from security updates and faster software, which will reduce time spent waiting for an older workstation to respond.

As well as its smarter user interface, Windows 10 has also helped to improve communication channels across the business – as a result of our work, the team at Gasco can now take advantage of all the revolutionary office applications Microsoft 365 has to improve remote working, including Microsoft Teams. For complete peace of mind, Gasco is also protected by our Infinite Cloud Backup service, which supports daily backup of all company emails, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams data.

As part of the Managed Service Agreement, we also provide Remote Monitoring & Management of the company’s devices. Using advanced patch management software, we’re able to oversee vital updates and ensure Gasco’s devices are all optimised with the latest versions.
