Ellis, who joined us last August, has got to experience the ins and outs of IT by working in our Service Desk department, working with our clients whilst studying for his qualification with Escalla.
As part of his apprenticeship, Ellis has specifically developed the following skills:
- Establish and maintain basic communication systems
- Use a range of remote and physical tools and equipment
- Install basic communication hardware and software
- Deal with routine service requests from internal and external sources.
Going forward, Ellis will work as a Technician within the Service Desk department here at Start Tech. Working as part of a small team, Ellis will be responsible for processing tickets, handling customer requests and liaising with the relevant team members to action these.
Ellis is our second apprentice this year to complete his studies alongside on-the-job training, following in the footsteps of James Walton, who passed the same apprenticeship course this summer. In total, five members of Start Tech have joined us as apprentices
